vendor-neutral:    an approach that represents without bias or favor to any side, the positions of individuals, partnerships, corporations, or any other activity, which sells property. Said of technology change or difference, it is not biased in favor of using more or less of one factor or product source than another.

Note: Knowledge Transfer's bias is that vendors who sell products or services, try as they might, cannot offer advice or training without showing preference, inclination or distortion in that they stand to gain through sales, management of message and management of brand. It is not that they do not possess intent to be vendor-neutral; it is that their staff members are thoroughly embedded in their own culture. When third parties are paid to do development, the review process ensures message management. It is always your responsibility to read past the vendor bias, including ours, and evaluate the message.
